Noel Gallagher has described rapper Eminem as “boring” for writing music about taking drugs.
The former Oasis guitarist and frontman of High Flying Birds had strong words for the Missouri-born hip-hop star in an interview with the Irish Independent.

Gallagher, who has previously referred to Eminem as an “idiot”, accused the star of trading on his history with drugs rather than creating anything new.
He said: “He is one of those guys that goes into rehab and then they sing about it for the next 20 years.
“You did a bit of f***ing coke. You had a drink. Haven’t we all.
“I have never felt the need to be one of those f***ing people. It’s boring.
“But writing songs about drugs is as boring as writing songs about coming out the other side of drugs.”
Eminem has been open about his struggles with drinks and drugs, marking 11 years of sobriety on social media back in April.
Gallagher has never been a fan of the rapper, admitting in 2005 that he “despises” hip-hop and dismissing Eminem in 2002 as “titillation for the middle classes”.
He used his new interview to discuss his own history with drugs, saying he found it easy to stay clean.
“I wasn’t planning on such a major lifestyle change,” said the 52-year-old.
“But after about two weeks I was like ‘I f***ing much prefer this’. Much prefer it.
“It doesn’t bother me. I can sit in a room full of people doing f***ing mountains of cocaine — it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.”
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are currently on tour with Smashing Pumpkins.
