The recent comment passed by Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel over Taapsee Pannu, as the former called her ‘Sasti Copy’ seems to have backfired on the lady herself! Here’s how:
While we love both Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu for their many roles ans successful films, as they made a name for themselves in this industry on their own. It seems Kangana Ranaut’s sister has taken her usual gimmick of commenting on others a bit too far, bordering on desperation!

Taapsee Pannu recently took to her Twitter to commend just how impressive the trailer of JudgeMentall Hai Kya has been and how she is looking forward for this film quite a lot. Well, meant to be a positive response, turned sour as Rangoli Chandel stepped in to comment about how Taapsee needs to be more orginal and not a ‘Sasti Copy’ as well as be more direct in complimenting Kangana. Rangoli further went ahead and brought forth an old clip of Taapsee talking about Kangana Ranaut needing a double-filter!
Kuch log Kangana ko copy kar ke he apni dukaan chalate hain, magar pls note, they never acknowledge her not even a mention of her name in praising the trailer, last I heard Taapsee ji said Kangana needs a double filter and Tapsee ji you need to stop being a sasti copy https://t.co/5eRioUxPic

Post that, many of the Game Over actor’s friends responded to the same and asked Rangoli to not comment in the same manner including filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Explaining as to how complimenting the entire trailer means taking everyone’s hardwork into consideration and commending it all. It doesn’t have to be about one specific person.
Come on Rangoli.. this is going too far.. this is really really desperate.. I really don’t know what to say to this . Having worked with both your sister and Taapsee .. I just don’t get this ..praising the trailer means praising all aspect of it. Which includes Kangana https://t.co/tkG5KwyFHi

Post this backfire, the Badla actor gave her own opinion on the same in her recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, and explained, “We are both opinionated and speak our mind which is a good thing except that sometimes it lands us in trouble. I had said it in a positive manner and not meant for it to be derogatory. In fact, I have often said Kangana’s an actor I look up to, my conscience is clear. It was weird to target me, that’s why it backfired.”
“Not just Anurag, a few other close friends from the industry also wanted to retort, but I stopped them because I don’t want to give her any mileage on my behalf. She can’t play the nepotism card with me because I’ve also struggled to reach where I am today,” Taapsee said.
The actress further said she didn’t want to engage in a word battle with the sisters because “I would not be able to match their language.”
“I didn’t know there was a copyright on curly hair, which I was born with, and honest opinions. I’m not going to apologise for it. As far as being “sasti” is concerned, Kangana claims to be the highest-paid actress, so I guess I am the ‘sasti’ version,” Taapsee added.
Well, it was definitely an attack out of the blue and unnecessary! It has to be believed that both these actresses are gems in our industry as well as totally ‘original’ in their own sphere. Lastly, Kangana Ranaut hardly needs any desperate acknowledgements, she is a blockbuster in her own right and might!
On the professional front, Taapsee Pannu will soon be seen in Mission Mangal, opposite Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan as well as Sonakshi Sinha. She also has Saand Ki Aankh in the pipeline, alongside Bhumi Pednekar. Both the trailers have left us speechless and quite excited for the films.
