Two years back, there were reports of John Abraham and Tamannaah Bhatia teaming up for an action-packed thriller titled Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga which was to be directed by Amar Kaushik. Nothing materialised further and the project got shelved. In fact, the director even confirmed to a portal a year back, that Tamannaah was never offered the film.
Now, two years later, the duo will finally share screen space together albeit in a fresh project. It’s going to be for the film Mumbai Saga. Sanjay Gupta is the director of the project. There were reports of Kajal Aggarwal being the first choice, but our source states that Tamannaah has been roped in by the makers to romance Abraham.
Well, it seems like John and Tamannaah are destined to work together and it’s going to be Mumbai Saga for them. The movie has already gone on floors and the first look was unveiled by Gupta a while back. The gangster drama stars John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy, Amol Gupte and Prateik Babbar. So far, no actresses’ names have been officially announced by the makers.
Mumbai Saga will be set in the 1980-90s and it will be inspired by true events. It revolves around all that went into transforming Bombay into Mumbai. The film is produced under the banner of T-series and White Feather films productions. This will be T-series’ first gangster-based drama film.
