Some say he is the most charming actor of all-time, some credit him for bringing intensity and physicality in Indian films. But there's hardly any doubt in the fact that he is one of the most loved and respected actors of all-time. Yes! We are talking about the 'He-Man' of the Indian film industry, Dharmendra, who is one of the most successful actors of all-time. The legendary actor had enjoyed an illustrious career and it still looks incredibly tough to pick someone to be the heir of his legacy.
Nevertheless, his personal life had raised everyone's eyebrows when he had married to Hema Malini despite being married to his first wife, Prakash Kaur. But the storm had calmed with time, and everything is fine with god's grace in Dharam ji's both familes.
Recently, we stumbled upon an extremely rare picture of Bollywood's legendary actor, Dharmendra with his two wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini from an event back in time. This is the only time when the two wives had came together and posed for the camera together with their husband, Dharam ji. The iconic frame is an epitome of the long-lasting dream of Dharam ji to see both his wives and children living together peacefully. In the monochrome photo, Dharam ji looked charming as always in his suited and booted avatar, while on the other side, both his wives were looking gorgeous in their respective sarees.
Take a look:
For the uninitiated, Dharmendra had tied the knot with Prakash Kaur in the year 1957 and has two children, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol from his first marriage. Despite it, the actor married Hema ji and converted his religion into Islam, so that he can keep his two marriages. While Dharmendra and Hema Malini's wedding had received a huge backlash from the media and their own fans, it was actor's first wife, Prakash Kaur, who had defended them and had silenced every one by revealing that she has no problem with Dharam ji's second marriage.
In a conversation with the Stardust magazine, Prakash Kaur had talked about Hema ji's marriage with her husband, Dharam ji. She had said, "He (Dharam) is the first love and the last man in my life. He is the father of my children. I love and respect him a lot. What has happened has happened. I don't know whether I should blame him or my destiny for it. But one thing is certain, however far he may be from me, whatever might happen, but if I need him, I know that he'll be there. I have not lost my trust in him. After all, he is the father of my children."
