20 Mar 2021: Oprah Winfrey interview: Priyanka Chopra talks about Nick Jonas, insecurities

Quantico star Priyanka Chopra sat down with talk show veteran Oprah Winfrey for a Super Soul interview, which will stream on Discovery+.

In the detailed chat, Chopra spilled the beans about working on her memoir, Unfinished, and about her relationship with husband Nick Jonas.

She also highlighted how she has left "behind insecurities of my twenties," and has gained a "little more confidence."

Book: 'Unfinished' is already a New York Times bestseller

In the chit-chat, Chopra made known that she had planned to write a book way back in 2018, but never found the time due to her extensive travel.

"But I had this time because of COVID-19, that helped me really delve deep," she added.

Unfinished is already a New York Times bestseller, Winfrey pointed out to the actress and the viewers.

Relationship: 'Didn't take it seriously when Nick was texting me'

Talking about Jonas, the 38-year-old elaborated that she didn't "take it seriously when Nick was texting me."

She said, "I was 35, I was like I want to get married, I want to have kids, and he is, you know, in his 20s, and I don't know if that's something he'd want to."

But things changed after she actually went out with the singer.

Quote: 'I truly believe that my mom manifested him (Nick)'

Winfrey quoted a portion from Chopra's memoir that talked about how her mother dreamed of a perfect man for the actress and "manifested" Jonas for him.

Elaborating it, she said, "I truly believe that my mom manifested him because that was her marriage, she had a marriage of partnership, they (Chopra's parents) build their home together, they build their life together in equal partnership."

Details: A fortnight ago, Winfrey's Harry-Meghan interview caught global attention

Almost a fortnight ago, Winfrey's interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set the global media and the British Royal family on fire.

In that talk, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex talked about facing racism, the reason behind stepping away from Royal duties, and how their life inside the Buckingham Palace caused mental and emotional distress.

The interview, naturally, was widely watched.
