As we celebrate the Month of Love this February, we asked you to share your love story with the world. Thank you for your overwhelming response. Here are some stories that stood out for us.
I'm Rahul from Kolkata, India.
I met my wife Rupsha in 2011, and we're married for almost 7 years now.
This is our story.
On a lazy Sunday afternoon, 22 May, 2011, to be precise, my would-be wife started pulling a random stranger's leg in a Facebook group of a handful of misfits with common political inclination — that random stranger being yours truly.
One comment led to another, and by the end of the day, we were talking over the phone.
After a week of texting, Facebook, and calls, she uttered the three magic words.
Silence was the answer. I was literally dumbstruck. And said the yes after about a five minute period of dumb silence.
I was looking for a job back then. What followed is a series of months of me sitting for exams.
Later that year, I got one. In a reputed bank.
But that involved a change in my address. It was a rural posting.
But as luck would have it, just two days after joining I got the news of me selected for the central bank of the country.
And the rest, as they say, is, wait for it, present.
It has been a present, a gift of epic proportions!
We married on the V-Day in 2013. And it has been a honeymoon ever since.
We live with our cat, Champagne, in Kolkata, with all the love in the world, and some more!
