Karni Rajput Sena, which has been protesting against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next release, Padmavati turned violent on Tuesday in Kota, Rajasthan. The members of Karni Sena pelted stones at cinema halls.
Sena members vandalised Akash Mall in Kota, shattering the windows of the cinema hall. According to a report in ANI, the police reached the spot, detaining the members of the Karni Sena.
According to The Indian Express, senior VHP leader Acharya Dharmendra said a case should be lodged against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali over Padmavati and senior Congress leader Rameshwar Dudi demanded a ban on the controversial film.
