14 Mar 2021: Parineeti Chopra tweets to Zomato about the viral Bengaluru case
The incident from Bengaluru, where allegedly a woman was hit and left bleeding by a Zomato food delivery executive, has left the public divided.
Now, actress Parineeti Chopra has tweeted to Zomato urging it to find the truth and said she believed the executive is innocent.
She also asked Zomato to help penalize the woman who complained against the executive calling the incident "inhuman."

In a tweet, tagging Zomato India, Chopra wrote, "Zomato India - PLEASE find and publicly report the truth.. If the gentleman is innocent (and I believe he is), PLEASE help us penalise the woman in question. This is inhuman, shameful and heartbreaking .. Please let me know how I can help.. #ZomatoDeliveryGuy @zomatoin."

Details: What was the whole incident?
A few days ago, a content creator from Bengaluru posted a video about how a Zomato delivery executive assaulted her after her order was delayed and she wanted to cancel it. She demanded action against him.
The woman was seen bleeding from her injured nose.
However, the executive later surfaced and denied the woman's claims of assault and narrated his side of the story.

Denying the allegations leveled against him, the delivery executive said, "Let the truth win."
He also said that the woman asked the order for free and when he resisted, she started hitting him and using swear words.
"While safeguarding myself, my left hand touched her right hand and the ring which she worn hit her nose and it started bleeding (sic)," he added.

A few hours after the video was posted and went viral, the delivery executive was arrested by the Bengaluru Police. On Thursday, he was granted conditional bail.
Zomato had also apologized on social media after the incident and also informed that the delivery executive that been delisted from the platform.
Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal tweeted saying their top-most priority is to get the truth.
