Penny Lancaster has spoken of her efforts to befriend all of Rod Stewart's exes when they began dating, in order to make their relationship work.
The 48-year-old model sparked surprise recently when she posted a picture of herself with Sir Rod's three former partners Alana Stewart, Kelly Emberg and Rachel Hunter as they celebrated his daughter Kimberly's 40th birthday.
Lancaster told ITV's Lorraine: "When I met Rod, I realised it wasn't just me and Rod, it was the children, it was the ex-wives, it was the whole family. It was a gamut of people.
"I knew I had to show that I was genuine, show kindness, and it works in the end."
The picture shows from left to right - Alana Stewart, Lancaster, Sir Rod, Emberg and Hunter.
Rocker Stewart, 74, has two sons with Loose Women presenter Lancaster, who he married in 2007, named Alastair, 12, and Aiden, eight.
They met in 1999, the year he split from model Hunter, 49, after nine years together. They share 27-year-old daughter Renee and son Liam, 25.
Before that he was in a relationship with model Emberg, 60, for seven years, they have a 32-year-old daughter Ruby.
Before that he was married to actress Alana Stewart, 74, for five years and they are parents to Kimberly, 40, and Sean, 39.
Emberg also shared a group shot, captioned "A mother's reunion!"

Sir Rod also has a 56-year-old daughter with Susannah Hourde. She was given up for adoption, but has since being reunited with her father.
Lancaster also appears to have a good relationship with the singer's daughter Kimberly, who shared several pictures of herself celebrating her birthday with Sir Rod and his current wife.
She wrote: "Such a magical evening. Love you all."
