People Leave Husbands for Films Like Bharat: Salman Taunts PeeCee

It seems like Salman Khan has not forgiven Priyanka Chopra for abandoning her comeback project Bharat. Priyanka had to leave the project a month before the film went on floors because of her wedding to Nick Jonas. That’s when Katrina Kaif stepped in to take over the role of Kumud.

Now, in an interview to Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan took a dig at Priyanka Chopra once again.

Speaking about her role, Katrina Kaif said, “When he (Ali Abbas Zafar) wrote this character originally, I was not there.” Salman quickly interrupted, saying, “There was Priyanka Chopra who was trying to...”. However, Katrina tried to mend the situation by saying, “Relax, relax.”

This wasn’t the end. Salman mocked Priyanka again by saying she could come and help in the promotions of Bharat. “I agree that she is not there in the film, but surely she can come and help with the promotions. She had actually loved the script,” Salman said.

He also taunted her for choosing her personal life over the film.

"“Priyanka Chopra chose USA over Bharat at the nick of time. She has worked hard all her life, okay? And when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped that to get married. You know, HATS OFF! Usually, people leave their husbands for films like these.”" - Salman Khan
