None other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was the chief guest to launch a new heritage postal stamp at Mumbai’s recently renovated Bandra railway station on Friday 23 August. Shah Rukh, who also happens to live in Bandra, created quite a ruckus when he made an appearance among the travellers at the crowded station. You could say he... stopped people in their tracks, pardon the pun.
"“I have romanced many girls on the railway station, but I had never been to this station, so I am very happy to be here. Now, that I have seen this station, I will come back.”" - Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh shared his fondness for the practice of writing letters, saying, “I think there is a certain romanticism about writing letters.” He also encouraged the crowd to use the post and send letters instead of texts and messages over the internet.
