To a large extent, the size of a country’s population determines its social, cultural and, even more significantly, its economic environment. By virtue of its sheer size and the number of people that live in it, India presents a unique case. The country has a population of over 135.4 crore, which is a massive 17.74% chunk of the total global population of 763.28 crore.
