Bollywood has been facing the ongoing MeToo Movement with all the support it can garner, bringing about a gradual change for the betterment of the future of this industry. This movement got its kick-off following Tanushree Dutta’s fearless recounting of being sexually harassed by Nana Patekar. Many came out in the open with their own stories including Sona Mahapatra, who told her own Me Too incident against leading music-composer Anu Malik.

The MeToo movement in B-Town raised many eyebrows as it revealed many names out in the public eye which left many shocked. One such name was Anu Malik, who’s heinous deeds were brought out in the open by one of the leading singers of the industry, Sona Mahapatra. Malik was also removed from the judges-panel by the makers of a leading music reality-show after his name kept on surfacing for such shameful acts. Sona had tweeted saying, “It takes only a Nirbhaya level tragedy for #India to wake up? Few days after these, I was asked to leave my judge seat. My co-judge told me,the publicity I provided to Anu Malik took up the trps of our ‘rival’ show. (?!) A year later,a sexual predator is back on the same seat.”

As now Anu Malik is back on the same show as a judge, it irked another singer’s sentiments as she revealed major insights about what the music-director did to her when she was trying to make a place in Bollywood. We are talking about none other than Neha Bhasin. She showed her outburst by tweeting in support of Mahapatra by recalling how Malik misbehaved with her years ago making her feel dis-comfortable. She even showed her rage against the makers and the channel who were fine with getting Malik back as the judge of their music-reality show. She wrote:

Neha tweeted this in support to Sona’s series of tweets who also seemed angry at the channel’s decision. Well, they say that there is no smoke without fire. Previously, when Sachin Tendulkar had tweeted praising the contestants of the ongoing season of the reality-show on Twitter, Sona had asked the cricketer directly by tweeting:

While Anu Mailk was removed as the judge last year, the has been bought back in the 11th season of the same show and it really makes no sense. Was it done just to run away from the increasing controversies? Well, we leave it to the makers of the show and hope that they show their accountability and take some action.
