The figures are better than that of Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 3 and Parineeti Chopraand Ayushmann Khurrana’s Meri Pyaari Bindu which did not perform as expected. The film opened in around 1820 screens in India and 330 screens overseas and is expected to pick up in the coming weekend- given the crackling chemistry between the lead pair. Raabta is helmed by Dinesh Vijan and is based on the reincarnation theme. It also stars Rajkummar Rao and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. Earlier, talking about her Raabta co-star, Sushant had said, “We have a lot of things in common. We have a similar passion, we are both from Delhi and from an engineering background. We have the same passion for films and want to give our 100 percent no matter what. These are the things we like about each other.” Kriti spoke to a daily about Raabta recently and said, “I liked the script from day one and has stayed with me for over two years now. It’s tricky to make people believe in both characters in such a short span of time, so it was [a] challenging yet exciting [task]. I had a two-month gap between playing both characters, so that helped me with my thought process.” Have you watched the movie? Let us know in the comments below.
