Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s love story is going rock solid and even their respective families have given the stamp of approval. Now, the lovebirds were pretty excited to celebrate Ranbir’s parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s 40th wedding anniversary that happens to be today (Jan 22) through a grand bash.
But unfortunately, they had to cancel the celebrations due to Rishi Kapoor’s sister Ritu Nanda’s sudden demise that happened on Jan 14. She was 71. Ritu died after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Naturally, her demise has disturbed the Kapoors and they are in no mood for celebrations, so RK and Alia thought it sane to ditch the BIG BASH and instead plan a private affair with just the near and dear ones.
And, yet again, Alia will display her baking skills as she will bake a cake for the Kapoors. She will take the guidance of Head Chef, Dilip Pundit. Well, this isn’t the first time that the actress has baked a cake for them. Every year on Ranbir’s birthday, the doting girlfriend makes it a point to prepare a yummy cake for her beau.
Coming back to the Kapoors’ anniversary, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor tied the knot on Jan 22, 1980 and have been going strong ever since. Rishi Kapoor was detected with cancer in 2018 and after a year-long battle with the dreaded disease, the actor was declared cancer-free and he returned from New York to India.
We saw him returning on the big screen with the film The Body co-starring Emraan Hashmi. Meanwhile, we had last reported that Rishi-Neetu are speeding up the construction of the KrishnaRaj property, as they want the wedding Puja of Ranbir and Alia to happen there. Let’s see if the couple indeed ties the knot in 2020 or not.
