Richa Chadha: ‘Ali Has Become A Great Parent To My Cats’-EXCLUSIVE

·2-min read

In November last year, after years of dating, actor couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal finally moved in together to a sea-facing apartment after months of house-hunting. The couple met on the sets of Fukrey in 2013, which recently completed eight years, and Richa took that milestone to thank that film for bringing Ali into her life.

Ask Richa about how it has been living with Ali, and she is just ecstatic. “It’s really wonderful to have a great person to share your space with. Ali is really lovely to live with and we are basically best friends. And living with him takes me back to the time when I first moved to Mumbai and had a flatmate, who was a writer. I used to go for auditions while she was submitting her stuff and we would talk to each other about our work. And now I get to do that with Ali, but apart from the lockdown, we haven’t spent much time together in the house. So, the lockdown came like a blessing to us,” she smiles. In an interview during the time of their move, Richa had shared that even though the couple was excited to live together, her cats weren’t as thrilled to have a new roommate in the form of Ali. Ask Richa that in these eight months together, have they warmed up to Ali, and she responds, “They have not only warmed up to him, but Ali has also become a great parent to them.”

Ali and Richa were supposed to get married last year in April, when the Covid pandemic hit all their plans for a six. The couple had to postpone their wedding due to the situation, and ever since then, the couple have been answering this question of when will their impending wedding take place. But now instead of giving any absolute answer, Richa just says, “It will happen when we all know where the world is going as it involves crowd and we have to be responsible.”
