Actor Rishi Kapoor is most upset with Rahul Gandhi’s views on “dynasty”, which he aired in the US on Tuesday. Gandhi, when asked about “dynastic succession” while he was speaking at the University of California, Berkeley, had said:
Rahul Gandhi“It’s a problem in all political parties in India. Most of the country runs like this, so don’t go after me, Akhilesh Yadav a dynast, Mr Stalin a dynast, Mr (Prem Kumar) Dhumal’s son a dynast, so don’t just go after me...Even Mr Abhishek Bachchan is a dynast, also Mr Ambani, that’s what happens in India.”
Gandhi’s observations about the natural order of dynastic succession didn’t go down too well with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who vented out on Twitter.
Rahul Gandhi. In the 106 years of Indian cinema of India, Kapoor's contribution is 90 years. And each generation is chosen by public on merit— Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) September 12, 2017
By God's grace we are in 4 generations.Prithviraj Kapoor.Raj Kapoor.Randhir Kapoor.Ranbir Kapoor-Males.Besides all others. You see otherwise— Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) September 12, 2017
So don't bullshit people on "Dynasty" You have to earn people's respect and love through hard work not zabardasti and gundagardi.— Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) September 12, 2017
When someone pointed out to the angry old Kapoor that nepotism did have an element to play in the actor’s success, Kapoor put the blame on the person’s “genetic fault”.
I am absolutely sure you can Manish. Then it's your genetic fault you don't have what I have! https://t.co/By5RwEJqqn— Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) September 12, 2017
We call for an immediate joint discussion between Rishi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan on genetics and eugenics.
