Rohit Sharma All Set To Resume His International Cricket Ahead Of 3rd Test Match Between India And Australia

IPL 2020 Winning captain and Indian opener batsmen Rohit Sharma is all set to back on cricket field on international level in the ongoing Test series between India and Australia. He has been away from international cricket for nearly a year and will make the comeback in the Sydney Test match starting from December 7 to December 11.

Turning the pages to a year ago Rohit Sharma was ruled out from the tour against New Zealand due to hamstring injury. He played his last T20 international on 2nd February2020 against New Zealand and last ODI on 19 January against Australia.

Later the series got cancelled due to the nationwide COVID-19 Pandemic. After being away from cricket for more than 7 months players resumed cricket in the Indian Premier League.

Rohit Sharma with his franchise Mumbai Indians won the title for the 4th time most by any team in the IPL history. But unfortunately Rohit Sharma injured his hamstring in the league matches. He did play the final knockouts but then didn’t show the availability for the Australia tour.

Nearly for two months there was a lot of confusion and buzz about Sharma’s injury and his appearance in the updated Test Squad. Earlier he was set to play the 4 match Test Series but then it was reduced to three matches and then finally confirmed to play last two matches.

Rohit joined Indian squad in the last week after quarantine period. In the 2-3 days he was named as a wise-captain of the Test team. Official account of Indian cricket team posted a video of opener batsmen practicing in the nets. The video shown that the player is fit and set to resume the stucked international cricket career.
