Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma unfollowed fellow team-mate Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on Instagram and it has become a national news. Like really?
There were several rumors which said that there has been a rift and a disagreement between the captain and the vice-captain of the Indian Cricket team, ie, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma respectively. And, it all happened after the unlikely exit of Team India from the recently held World Cup in England. Post this, Rohit stopped following Kohli on the popular social-media app, Instagram. And this became a huge affair and made it to headlines of leading news-papers and media houses.
Following this incident, reportedly, Rohit also unfollowed Kohli’s wife and B-Town’s leading actress, Anushka Sharma as well on IG and there has been no stopping from the netizens as they are tweeting about it left, right and center. It is suddenly a huge topic of interest and we get it that Indians are extremely passionate for the sport of Cricket but following each other on social media must not be big thing right?
Rohit is a mature individual and him following Kohli and Anushka on IG or not must be solely his choice and it is away from the sport as well and it is not hampering his performances or the team’s spirit in any way. These trivial acts of celebrities and sportsmen become news-worthy pieces and it is downright illogical. We just hope there is no trouble between the two amazing cricketers and it is just a personal choice.
“The problem between the two best batsmen started some years ago when Rohit and his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan left the management company that Virat is associated with. At the ICC World Cup 2019, everything appeared hunky-dory until the Indian team’s abrupt exit after the semis,” a report read earlier when stories of the rift surfaced the Internet.
