Roohi Box-Office Collection: Janhvi Kapoor- Rajkummar Rao’s Horror Comedy Witnesses Growth On Saturday; Earns Rs 3.42 Crore

Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma starrer horror-comedy film Roohi released in theatres on 11th March. This film directed by Hardik Mehta, is among one of the first big films to release in the theatres ever since the theatres reopened with a certain capacity. The big question remained whether the film would bring the audience to the theatres. Well, Roohi had a decent box-office collection on the opening day, and while it dipped on the second day, the film saw substantial growth in box-office numbers on Saturday.


Roohi minted Rs 3.06 crore on Thursday, followed by Rs 2.25 crore box-office collection on Friday. On Saturday, the film recorded its biggest day so far in terms of box-office numbers, and raked in Rs 3.42 crore. This brings the total 3-day collection of Roohi to Rs 8.73 crore. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the box-office collection of Roohi and wrote, “Roohi gathers momentum as the weekend sets in... Multiplexes are key contributors... Substantial growth on Sat gives hope... Double-digit *extended* opening weekend is confirmed... Thu 3.06 cr [#MahaShivratri], Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 3.42 cr. Total: ₹ 8.73 cr. #India biz."


.Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor had been promoting the film with great enthusiasm. In an interview with SpotboyE, Janhvi revealed why she has been promoting her film amid the Coronavirus pandemic, knowing the risks.
