2015 and 2017 will be a memorable year for Telugu actor Prabhas as he won the hearts of the audience all over India with Bahubali films. After 2 long years, he is back with Saaho and has Shraddha Kapoor to kick some asses at the box office.
It is time to rejoice for the fans of Prabhas as the rebel star is back in action with one of the most expensive film of India, Saaho. Touted to have a mammoth production budget of Rs 350 crore, Saaho has surpassed all expectations from its mind-blowing trailer which boast off some eye-popping action stunts.
Saaho is being directed by Sujeeth and will be the debut film of Prabhas in Hindi while it will be Shraddha Kapoor’s debut in South Indian cinema. Prabhas is probably at the best phase of his career. He scored well this year with Bahubali (Rs 114 crore) and Bahubali 2 (Rs 511 crore). The trailer has been welcomed and the movie has impressive star cast, especially Shraddha Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The advance booking of Saaho has started and has been superb in Telugu but decent in Hindi version. The advance is better in mass dominated areas like Bihar, MP (Madhya Pradesh) and UP (Uttar Pradesh) but slow in other parts. While Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad are already showing the “fast-filling” sign, places like Mumbai and Delhi are weak.
As per our analysis, all version of Saaho cannot come close to the opening day figure of Bahubali-2 (Rs 121 crore) but it will certainly cross the first day collections of Aamir Khan starrer Thugs Of Hindostan, which minted Rs 52.50 crore in all language version and even Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 (Rs 60 crore), ending with somewhere between Rs 70-75 crore. Saaho will open above Rs 20 crore on its first day in Hindi version and should be able to do well in long extended weekend as Monday will be a holiday owing to Ganesh Chathurthi festival.
