Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho was released today. Prabhas returned to the silver screen after two years with Saaho. The pair was accompanied by Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Mahesh Manjrekar and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
To begin with, the film is a total hodgepodge. It takes ages for the haze to lift. With Hollywood like action sequences and VFX, the makers did not focus on the storyline. The movie has too many characters and at some point, the audience will become clueless and will be bored.
But thankfully the movie paces up after the break. The climax is unpredictable and to some extent, illogical. To worsen the situation, Prabhas’s Hindi dialogue delivery is no less than a disaster. With such a huge budget, they should’ve give a thought to a Hindi dubbing artist for Prabhas’s character as well.
In short it’s just an ‘expensive khichdi’ or we can call it the south version of Dhoom 3.
Reasons to watch: Great VFX effects along with humorous first half. The film also boasts of sudden turn of events, which makes the movie interesting.
Reasons not to watch: Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor’s lame chemistry with addition to Prabhas’s poor Hindi dialogue delivery. Illogical and science defying action sequences also adds to the list. After seeing the movie, one can only say that Prabhas has left behind Salman Khan and Rajnikanth in defying the laws of physics.
