Out of many shocking and explosive revelations that have been made in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, one revelation that completely took everyone by surprise was when reportedly, Rhea Chakraborty named Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta's names in the drug case in her statement to NCB. This report however, later turned out to be untrue. The Narcotics Control Bureau has denied any such list being prepared by the agency. Nonetheless, after the news started circulating in the media and on social media, Kaabil filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is disappointed with the fake news making headlines and asked some serious questions regarding the same.
He took to his Twitter handle and tweeted, "Sara Ali Khan is also someone’s daughter just as you are or my daughter is. Does @navikakumar have no shame or responsibility to do this most derogatory shit to a young girl on the threshold of her career???" Supporting Gupta's tweet, many commented in his favour. One wrote, "This isn’t the first time that someone has been vilified by the media. Has happened to JNU students before. Shashi Tharoor’s hounding. Different stories, same intention. Find stories to deflect attention from the shortcomings of the government." While another one said, "Deliberately showing images in skimpy cloth. Oh god! Journalism used to be good in old days"
Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty has given a 20-page statement to NCB where she revealed that some leading actors consumed drugs with Sushant, his Lonavala farmhouse was being used for drug parties and how a filmmaker introduced SSR to drugs and more.

On the other hand, Rhea Chakraborty had claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput got hooked to drugs during the shoot of Kedarnath. However, refuting her claims, key witness Sushant’s former driver Dhirendra reported having told the CBI that the late actor never did drugs during Kedarnath shooting days.
