The Kajol starrer Helicopter Ela, Govinda and Varun Sharma starrer FryDay, horror flick Tumbbad and Bhatt’s produced Jalebi showed a growth on Saturday at the box office but it was far from making any impact.
Kajol starrer Helicopter Eela opened to average reviews while it had the best opening among the four film with an occupancy of just 5-10% in the morning shows and opened to just 75 lakhs. There was a slight growth on Saturday with 90 lakhs (as per early trade estimates) bringing the total collections to Rs 1.65 crores. Helicopter Eela is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 20 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost.
Though the trailer of FryDay was unimpressive, the chemistry between Govinda and Varun Sharma has been appreciated. FryDay opened to an occupancy of 0-5% in the morning shows and collected to Rs 30 lakhs while the second day collections stood at Rs 50 lakhs bringing the total collections to Rs 80 lakhs.
The horror flick Tumbbad received the best reviews among the four films and even showed the best growth. Tumbbad opened with just Rs 65 lakhs but gained well on day 2 with a solid Rs 1.10 crores bringing the overall collections to Rs 1.75 crores. Tumbbad is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 15 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost

Produced under Mahesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films, Jalebi is a romantic drama starring Rhea Chakrabarty and Varun Mitra. While the trailer was eye-catching but reviews are average. Jalebi opened to around Rs 30 lakhs and grew to Rs 50 lakhs on Saturday bringing the overall collections to Rs 80 lakhs.
