Second Saturday Box Office Report – Ayushmann Khurrana’s AndhaDhun Shows A Solid Growth !!!

The Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte starrer AndhaDhun crossed its budget in its first week only and has performed better than Helicopter Eela, Tumbbad, Fryday and Jalebi. However, the crime-thriller showed a stellar growth on second Saturday cementing its status at the box office.

Welcomed by some amazing reviews, AndhaDhun had a very good holding on its second Friday at the box office. Andhadhun which is directed by Sriram Raghavan collected Rs 2.70 crores on first Friday at the ticket. Since AndhaDhun has been carrying some of the best reviews in recent times and collections picked up on Saturday minting a soldi Rs 5.10 crores. The earnings continued to do well on Sunday with Rs 7.20 crores while Monday business was superb with Rs 3.40. The collections on Tuesday was amazing with Rs 3.50 cores while on Wednesday, the collections hardly dipped with Rs 3.25. The earnings did not change on Thursday with Rs 3.25 crores.

There were four significant films who released this week – Kajol starrer Helicopter Ela, Govinda and Varun Sharma starrer FryDay, horror flick Tumbbad and Bhatt’s produced Jalebi but none of them could defeat AndhaDhun as it remained the first choice of the audience. On its second Friday, crime-thriller minted a staggering Rs 3 crores while the earnings grew by an outstanding Rs 5.25 crores to a grand total of Rs 34.35 crores. AndhaDhun is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 25 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost (Production Cost: Rs 15 Crores, Prints & Advertising Cost: Rs 10 Crores) and is already in safe position.
