The Instagram move was picked up on by Twitter account @GomezSource on Monday.
Hadid’s unfollowing of Gomez also included her reducing her following count from 386 to 377. It is unknown which other accounts she is no longer following.
Hadid continues to follow her ex The Weekend, who both women have dated in the past, and Gomez continues to follow the model on the social media platform.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd follows just three accounts: Mercedez Benz, Roger Smith and his own merchandise.
The move comes months after the ‘Rare’ singer praised Hadid for being a ‘wonderful person’ following a misunderstanding over an Instagram comment.
Updated 14/11/12: Selena Gomez Shuts Down Bella Hadid Feud Rumours With Passionate Instagram Plea
After much social media toing and froing, Selena Gomez has finally put her and Bella Hadid's rumoured feud to rest with one impassioned Instagram comment.
Hours after the 'Back To You' singer voiced her disappointment over Hadid's removal of an Instagram post, it looks like she had a major change of heart.
'No. I shouldn't of spoken without knowing the truth.' The Monte Carlo actor wrote under a fan account post, 'I'm sorry. Please don't be hurtful. She is a wonderful person and it was all a misunderstanding.'
If we're understanding this correctly it means that not only did Hadid definitely not delete her original post due to Gomez's flattering comment, but that the pair have probably spoken and appear to be on good, if not great, terms.
Well thank goodness, we hate to see our girls fighting.
Updated 13/11/19: Bella Hadid Deletes Instagram Post After Selena Gomez Comments On It
This weekend, Bella Hadid posted a picture to her feed, in which the model was depicted posing with dramatic pink eye make-up and a bold red lip and was captioned, 'A Dior thing'.
Under the gorgeous snap of the Palestinian-Dutch-American supermodel, the 'Look At Her Now' singer reportedly commented 'Stunning' with a heart-eye emoji.
So far, so friendly.
Then, according to fan Instagram account: @selssbrina, Hadid went on to delete the post, leading fans to speculate that 23-year-old Hadid was not happy with the 27-year-old Spring Breaker star's remark.
Of course, there are plenty of reasons why Hadid might have archived or deleted her own picture, but it looks like Gomez isn't best pleased.
Under the above fan account post, detailing the exchange and subsequent deletion, the 'Wolves' crooner then wrote, 'That sucks' with a crying emoji.
Maybe she thinks Hadid removed the post because of her, or maybe, she's just saying 'that sucks' because the photo was such a 'stunning' one? Maybe we'll never know.
But what is fuelling all of the negative speculation?
You’ll no doubt remember that the ‘Lose You To Love Me’ singer began dating Canadian singer The Weeknd in 2017, months after he split from his girlfriend of over a year, Hadid.
Hours after news of The Weeknd – whose real name is Abel Tesafaye – and Gomez’s romance came to light, the supermodel unfollowed Gomez on Instagram. Previous to their relationships with The Weeknd, the women were regularly seen hanging out together, with friends.
However, it would seem that the 27-year-old singer is keen to make amends with Hadid by following both the model and her sister, Gigi, on Instagram. Meanwhile, Bella and Gigi are yet to repay the kind gesture.
That said, earlier this year Bella was seen liking a photo of Gomez – who split from The Weeknd in October 2017 - on Instagram, taken by the singer’s make-up artist Hung Vanngo.
The model's (digital) olive branch came almost two years after the 23-year-old liked a photo of a then blonde Gomez taken at the American Music Awards and posted on the IMGModels Instagram account.
Bella and Abel sparked romance rumours again in May 2018 during a get together at Cannes Film Festival before ending their romance in August this year.
However, it would appear the pair remain on good terms, with the crooner spotted attending the model’s 23rd birthday in New York in October and enjoying drinks with her and her friends.
Last month, Gomez clarified her relationship status after being spotted at the same restaurant, La Esquina, in New York City as her ex-boyfriend Samuel Krost.
‘I am not dating anyone,’ she stated in an Instagram Story. ‘I’ve been single for two years. “I’m on God’s timing not mine”.’
The comment came days after Selena, 27, she spoke about her romances on Zach Sang’s Sirius XM show last week.
'I want to know what that love will look like next for me,' she said. 'I want it to be real and I don’t want it to be co-dependent or messy or lack of communication.'
It sucked for the first year, I was like, “I just want to cuddle. I just want to watch something and be adored”. But ya, now it feels good. Now it feels awesome.’
