The Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has recently bought a new apartment in Central Mumbai worth Rs 56 crore.
The Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor feels that his preference has now changed when it comes to how he wants his house to be. Earlier he was a bachelor who liked intimate spaces. Whereas now when he is married and is father to a kid, he prefers open spaces more.
The actor currently resides in Juhu with his wife Mira Rajput and daughter Misha. And he is expecting his second child with his wife, who is due in September. So, with his family now extended, Shahid felt the need of having a bigger space. Hence, he recently bought a new house worth Rs 56 crore.
Talking about his new property, the actor told DNA, “I have bought a new home in Central Mumbai. It will be a year-and-a-half, perhaps even two, before we do the interiors and move in there. However, it’s an investment that I needed to make. I have a much smaller home in Juhu and with two children (the second one arriving in September), the requirement of the family has changed.”
He is being very careful and thinking from a father’s perspective as he wants his daughter to be safe. “The new home that Mira and I have booked has a garden and other amenities like a gymnasium, etc. Today, our requirement is having a safe place for Misha where she can play with others. We want her to be with kids of her age because that’s how she will have a regular childhood,” added Shahid.
Meanwhile, on the work front Shahid is going to be seen in the film Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Starring Shraddha Kapoor as well, it will release on September 21, this year.
