There is no respite for Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim as The Sky Is Pink dropped big time on Monday at the box office after a poor weekend.

Directed by Shonali Bose, who earlier made critically acclaimed films like Amu and Margarita With Straw, The Sky Is Pink is based on a novel of same name. While The Sky Is Pink makes a comeback for Priyanka Chopra, it is also an acid test for Farhan Akhtar who is suffering in his career as an actor since his last few films like The Lucknow Central and Rock On 2 has been a disaster at the box office. Though The Sky Is Pink had interesting trailer which has already garnered 30 million views till now. The early reviews have been great but the opening of the film is below par with just 10-15% occupancy in the morning shows across India and collecting Rs 2.50 crore by the end of its day. There was a good growth on Saturday with Rs 4 crore followed by Rs 4.20 crore on Sunday.

As per trade estimates, The Sky Is Pink crashed on Monday and collected Rs 1.5 crore, bringing the four days total to Rs 12.30 crore. The competition from both WAR and Hollywood film, Joker, is strong at the box office.
