Our audience is always looking forward to the stories of entrepreneurs. Tell is in detail about your work and the businesses you run.

I’m a 25 year old Indianentrepreneur, social media influencer and model. I currently live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I’m the CEO and founder of a global fitness and lifestyle nutrition brand called Physique Collection by Sky ®.Our product range includes clean, premiumnutritional fitnesssupplements to help people achieve their goals in a healthy way.My mission is to help people live a life that not only looks good on the outside, but feels incredible on the inside as well.

It takes a ton of efforts to build a brand of your dreams. Tell us in details about your journey to becoming an entrepreneur

I underwent my own transformation from a skinny 15 year oldkid with a low self-esteem to the cover of Men’s Health India at the age of 18. It took a lot of dedication, discipline and hard work to achieve that goal, but it made me realize there’s a lot more to fitness than the perfect body. It’s about self-respect, self-belief and living life to your full potential.

I wanted to share my passion with the world and decided to launch my very first fitness business back in 2011 when I was in the 10th grade. The blog was aimed at motivating and educating the youth about training and nutrition and was ranked as the number one most visited sports blog in SA during that time. I learnt a lot about what it takes to create online content, build a brand and use social media marketing back when it was just getting started.

At 18, I moved to Boston, USA to study and get my business degree from Northeastern University. During my five year degree, I worked as a digital marketing specialist for Amazon Web Services in Seattle which was extremely valuable. It taught me the power of making data driven decisions and being completely customer obsessed.I decided not to join Amazon full time after graduating. I knew I had something more to offer the world. I wanted to create something I was passionate about with the goal of having a positive impact on people.

Every brand works in its own unique ways. Tell us in detail about how your brand operates.

Authenticity and quality is my business plan. My philosophy is to only develop and release products that I actually believe in and use on a daily basis.I don’t have a board of directors telling me what I can and can’t do. Not seeking external investors gives me the freedom to spend more money on creating products that meet the highest standards of quality and safety. I also get to be real with my followers. They see the hard work and dedication required to achieve your goals. Drinking a protein supplement is not going to magically transform you. You have to live a healthy lifestyle, get the best nutrition and train hard to see results. More importantly, you have to love it.

The creative and entrepreneurial process comes bundled with challenges. Tell us about the challenges you currently face?

Meeting the demand for my supplements has been overwhelming. Before launching, we had 15,000 people already signed up on ourwaitlist. We’ve consistently sold out all our inventory within days of each restock.

I’m also solving the big problem of fake supplements. In certain countries such as India, up to 70% of dietary supplements on the market are fake according to a study by ASSOCHAM. We’re able to eliminate the risk of customers receiving counterfeit products by selling directly to our customersexclusively through our own website,

What is your future vision about your brand and how do you wish to take it to the next level?

Whatever I do, the vision is to make sure people feel their absolute best. In addition to expanding the range of nutritional products, I’m gearing up for the launch of my new fitness app which will give people diet and training programs to follow. I’m also developing a range of hair and skin care products and afashion and fitness apparel line.

What advice would you like to give to someone who has a dream of creating something of his own and make a living through it?

Whatever you decide to do, make sure it’s your passion. If you love it, you’ll have a lot of fun and you won’t be discouraged by the effort or challenges that may come your way.
