It's been almost two months since stork had visited the doors of Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta and had bestowed them with it's choicest blessings in the form of a little doll, Anayka. Ever since her little doll, Anayka has entered her life, Smriti Khanna is enjoying motherhood to its fullest. So much so, that she never skips a chance to flaunt her bundle of joy, on her social media handles. Some days ago, Smriti had shared a beautiful picture wherein the mommy-daughter duo could be seen twinning in blue dresses and looked cute like anything. Her little cotton ball, Anayka was sitting on her mommy's lap, while the newbie mommy could be seen looking at her little princess in amazement, and her golden retriever puppy, Reyo was oblivious to the camera! Smriti Khanna's little bundle of joy is about to turn two-months-old and the excited mommy took to her Instagram handle to share adorable pictures from the very first puja ceremony of her baby doll, Anayka. We can't stop gushing over the cute pictures! The newbie mommy looks so happy as if the whole world is at feet and her prized possession, her little cotton ball is everything she needs at the moment! When asked about the same, in a conversation with Bollywoodshaadis.com, Smriti explained, "This pooja is performed on the 40th day. It is believed that the mother's body takes 40 days to recover after delivery, and the baby's immunity also builds in 40 days." Smriti further added, "After this puja the mother and baby can officially out of the house, not that we would." Smriti looked beautiful in a pastel, printed ethnic wear, while her baby donned a blue dress and a red bow headband. The ever doting and impatient mommy, Smriti Khanna had, some days ago, taken to her Instagram stories and had shared a picture of her cute little angel, Anayka lying peacefully in her cot. On the picture, Smriti had written, "When will you start looking like a girl?" And after some time, the loving mommy had again posted a picture after what seemed to be a 'baby-makeover', wherein little Anayka could be seen donning a yellow bow headband and cute PJ and T-shirt and looking like a sunflower! However, happy and jolly things seem from the surface, it's not at all easy to become a mother. Smriti Khanna had touched the topic of postpartum depression in an interview with The Times of India. To begin with, she had emphasised on the importance of educating a woman on breastfeeding, pregnancy and postpartum depression, as the latter is a big deal, yet, not much spoken about. Smriti had said, “I have realised that even if you speak good on social media and educate people about pregnancy and mother, haters will still troll you. I felt that people did not discuss much about pregnancy, weight issues, breastfeeding."
