Want a great pair of noise-canceling headphones that can completely block any background chatter and make you feel like you’re in your own little universe? Check out this wireless Sony pair.

They’re now on sale for $298 — $52 off — and are considered one of the best noise cancelling headphones of the year.

Sony really did it up by giving these headphones 30 hours of battery life. And if you’re in a rush you can get five hours of use on a 10-minute charge. Smart control touch sensors are built into the ear cups, which by the way are extremely plush and comfortable.

The headphones are also lighter than previous models so you’ll barely realize you’re wearing them. Thanks to a “swivel and fold” design, they tuck neatly into an included carry case for easy travel. And when you’re on the plane, a special feature optimizes the sound for high altitudes.

You can sync the headphones with the companion smartphone app to bring in more or less ambient noise. This pair also comes with quick access to your smartphone’s voice assistant, including Siri for Apple iPhone, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The headphones adjust to your personal situation too, optimizing the sound based on your head size, hair and if you’re wearing glasses. Cool.

The headphones — available in black or silver — come with a 3.5mm wired headphone jack, USB-C charging cable and airplane adapter.

Need a second opinion?

“Let me just say these are worth the price. The noise cancellation is amazing. I'm highly impressed,” wrote a happy camper on Walmart.com. “And the sound quality is to die for. I have no regrets buying these. Sony sure outdid Bose on this one. I love that these were easy to set up and that they come with a convenient pouch to hold everything in. Smart sound was really cool and offers a lot of different features. Also they’re pretty comfortable too. I highly recommend these if sound quality and noise cancellation are your major concerns.”
