The story of Pasha Eshghi: The acclaimed filmmaker

Pasha Eshghi

Entertaining people through art is something which Pasha Eshghi loves the most. He is an aspiring filmmaker who has fame coming all his way. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and attended Collingwood School for 12 years. After that, he took up the course film production from The University of British Columbia. N 2015, when he was in his last semester, the young lad produced and directed his first action-comedy web series titled SWERVE. It revolved around the story of a limo driver and his adventures with his passengers. Alexander Ludwig played the main role in the six episodes series. While making the series, Eshghi faced many challenges in securing its distribution which he considers as a significant experience he had learnt.

Later in 2017, Eshghi and Paul Bissonnette made a joint effort and made ‘BizNasty Does BC’. It was a mockumentary series exploring British Columbia whilst featuring 17 past and present NHL stars. After making the series, David Portnoy, the president of Barstool Sports was in awe of it that he insisted Eshghi to release it on his network. But after negotiations for many months, the filmmaker agreed and sold the series to Barstool Sports.

The series not only saw Pasha Eshghi as a filmmaker but also on camera as he played himself to add a comedy effect in the series. It is not the first time, he had appeared on camera. In SWERVE, Eshghi played the role of an airline captain. In the year 2018, he appeared in several skits that were aired on Sportsnet. At the end of 2018, Pasha Eshghi succeeded in cracking a deal with NHL to make ‘NHL First Timer’ – a five-episode series which saw people from different walks of life being taken to their first NHL games to make them hockey fans. With such a great cinematic brain, we wonder what Pasha Eshghi has in store for all his fans.
