I wasn’t at the shoot for almost 15-20 days, and when I resumed shooting, she came up to me in my vanity. She was a hardcore follower of Sai baba and she had got udi for me and told me to keep it and I will be alright. I had tears in my eyes then and I have them now remembering it,” she recalls. It was two months ago when Rajshree met Surekha ji for the last time. “Two months ago, when the news came of her not keeping well, I went to meet her. She wasn’t able to move but she remembered everything. She used to come for Ganpati at my place every year without fail. She remembered each and everything from the set of Saat Phere, which was 15 years back. She hasn’t seen my daughter but she remembered I have one and she asked about my whereabouts. She was suffering a lot but she didn’t miss these little things. She wasn’t very expressive about her feelings but she had everything,” she insists.
