Tamil film star Suriya on Sunday took to Twitter to reveal that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 45-year-old actor shared a post saying he is currently undergoing treatment and is feeling better.

He also reminded his fans and followers that life "has not returned to normalcy yet," advising them to take precautions.

Suriya tweeted last night, "I am undergoing treatment for COVID-19 and am better now. Let us all realize that life hasn't returned to normalcy yet (sic)."

Work: Suriya recently completed shooting for Netflix's 'Navarasa'

Separately, on the work front, Suriya recently wrapped up the shooting of Netflix's upcoming anthology, Navarasa.

Suriya's episode in Navarasa is based on a popular song by Ilaiyaraaja, as per reports.

Directed by Gautham Menon, this project will mark the reunion of the actor-director duo after many years.

They have previously worked together on films such as Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram.

For the unversed, Suriya was last seen in Soorarai Pottru, which skipped theatrical release due to the coronavirus pandemic and premiered on the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video.
