Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput has believed to have died by suicide at his Bandra residence on June 14, a lot of people have been connecting his death to his former manager Disha Salian's death, who jumped to her death on June 9. Disha was found dead down at a building in Malad and reports suggested that she jumped from the 14th floor and died by suicide. In the last few days, various social media posts and few media reports made some sensational yet derogatory claims pertaining to the death of Disha Salian. Also, some of them even suggested that perhaps Salian was sexually assaulted and murdered.
Now her father Satish Salian has decided to put all the speculations to rest and has submitted a written complaint to Malwani police station, Malad, Mumbai, accusing journalists, politicians, influencers and few media outlets for their insensitive reportage. In his letter to ACP Dilip Yadav, Malwani Division, the victim's father wrote, "News about her involvement with any politician or attending parties with big names of film fraternity, rape, murder are all the stories cooked by these media people just to sell it to channels. These stories hold no truth. These are misleading the people and tarnishing my daughter’s reputation and family reputation. These fake news are taking a huge toll on my family’s health and we are being victimized by the media. We are completely satisfied with the investigation being conducted by the Mumbai police and have faith in them."

Reports speculated that Sushant was worried after hearing about Disha's death. However, Disha’s mother in an interview has ruled out any connection of Sushant's death with her daughter’s death.
Meanwhile, after the Supreme Court gave Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government a 3-day deadline to submit a report with all findings related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the Police released a press note today asking people to approach the Malvani Police station situated in Mumbai’s Malad suburb, if at all they have any information related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-manager Disha Salian’s tragic and accidental death. The press note also had contact details of police officials to be contacted if any information related to the case is found.
