Taapsee Pannu Says ‘Bas Yehi Need Of The Hour Hai’ As Delhi Police Files FIR Against Greta Thunberg For Her Tweet On Farmers’ Protest

The farmers’ protest is getting intense with each passing day. However, the support from International pop singer Rihanna, Greta Thunberg and more for the farmers caught the entire nation by storm. Amidst the uproar, according to the latest reports in India Today, an FIR has been filed by Delhi police against Greta Thunberg for her tweet on farmers’ protest which allegedly promotes enmity. Reportedly, the charges that the FIR lists are those of conspiracy and ‘promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language and acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony.’


Seeing this, here’s how actor Taapsee Pannu reacted to it. Sharing the news on her Instagram stories, she sarcastically said, “bas yehi need of the hour hai”. That’s not it, many Bollywood celebs reacted to the same and seemed very surprised with the development. Dia Mirza wrote, “This can’t be real!” While Mini Mathur wrote, “We have officially lost the plot.” Anand Ahuja commented, “don’t know whether to laugh, cry, be angry, or be upset.” Other stars like Huma Qureshi, Amyra Dastur, Farah Khan Ali, Maanvi Gagroo also were amazed.


On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut was seen slamming Greta in one of her recent tweets as she accidentally exposed confidential document on Twitter.




Nevertheless, after the FIR was lodged, the activist was seen making a tweet again, standing firm on her support towards the farmers and mentioned that no amount of hate will change her decision. She tweeted, “I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest”.
