Consider it a sort of elite-athlete rite of passage, no matter the sport or country. From divers (Tom Daley) to basketball players (Angel McCoughtry) and swimmers (Ryan Lochte), they're almost as ubiquitous as gold medals — but probably a bit easier to get. Now, you can count one very elite athlete among those who have permanently added that Olympic pride to their bodies: Final Five gymnast and all-around badass Simone Biles.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has been featuring sportspersons for long, and this year’s issue is marked for the inclusion of five famous ladies who have inspired the world with their talent and charisma — Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, and Eugenie Bouchard. Biles, a winner of four Olympic Gold medals in Rio last year, has been featured along with her teammate Aly Raisman. The 19-year-old who wowed the world with her gravity-defying signature move on the floor — ‘The Biles’— was one of the most popular stars of the Rio Olympics, and is listed amongst the phenomenal gymnasts of all-time.
Fresh off their Olympics wins, most of the U.S. gymnastics team’s “Final Five” hit the MTV Video Music Awards’ step-and-repeat tonight.
Simone Biles is no ordinary human, the ease with which she somersaults makes us wonder whether she is from another planet. There is greatness, and then there is Simone Biles! Still, she is just like any other teenager; the 19-year-old has earlier admitted to having a huge crush on Zac Efron, and she has a life-size cutout of the Hollywood heartthrob in her bedroom. In an interview to NBC, Biles told that she sometimes kisses that cut-out.
