Chinatown in Singapore is bustling with eager participants, spectators and locals. The undeniable energy and vibrance spewing from the contagious red hue, portrays the distinct tradition and modern buzzing high energy of the excited humans!This year, the Chinese New Year falls on the 25th of January and will conclude on the 27th of January, 2020.To get into the heart of the action, independent photographer Tanuja Patnaik visited the historic enclave of Chinatown prior to the start of the Chinese New Year and captured in all it’s grandeur streets lit-up and lined with beautifully-designed lanterns.The official light-up on opening ceremony commenced on 4 January in 2020, and visitors to the event are in for a multisensory extravaganza. SINGAPORE — At noon on Tuesday (22 October), a Volocopter flying taxi made its maiden test flight over the Marina Bay.The three-minute flight came a day after a press conference unveiled a prototype VoloPort, a type of take-off and landing facility for Volocopters. A professional Madame Tussauds sculpting team took five months to create the wax figure of the 43-year-old actress. The dress Kajol’s figure is wearing was one of her famous red carpet look in 2017. “I was really impressed with the amount of work that went into it… from the texture of the hair to the 20 eyeballs to choose from, it was really really detailed and I hope that all that hard work is definitely going to be worth it,” said Kajol, who was Singapore for the unveiling ceremony with her daughter, Nysa, on 24 May.
