Tandav started on a high note as fans were overjoyed to see some talented stars like Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Mohamed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sarah Jane Dias, Sunil Grover, Kritika Kamra, Gauahar Khan and many more come together on screen. However, after the release, the series found itself in hot waters as people started going against it because it hurt many religious sentiments with a scene in the first episode itself. Amidst the controversy, now, actor Konkona Sensharma has reacted on the Supreme Court’s verdict and asked let’s arrest everyone involved with the series. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court denied relief to the makers and actors of Tandav, citing that ‘right to freedom of speech is not absolute’.

Zeeshan’s lawyer Siddharth Agrawal also defended the alleged objectionable part of the web series saying that as an actor, he has no artistic control over dialogues spoken by him. To this, the bench remarked, "You cannot take up a role without reading the script. You cannot play a role in hurting the religious sentiments of others." The top court further said, "Your right to freedom of speech is not absolute. You cannot play the role of a character that hurts the sentiments of a community." Reacting to the same, Konkona took to her Twitter handle to share a tweet saying, “Almost all involved in the show have read the script and signed the contract! Let’s arrest the whole cast and crew?”

After her tweet was shared, one user commented, “Good you support this. Kindly convey to ur colleagues to be careful next time or be cooperative in the whole arresting process. Hope you are not that Bengali jo jai shree ram bolne pr bhadak jaye.” While another one said, “Thank you! This is unacceptable! No other religion of culture allows this to happen. All involved must go to prison! #tandavban #TandavOnPrime”
