Welcomed with excellent reviews, Thappad minted Rs 3.07 crore on first day. The drama grew to a solid number with Rs 5.05 crore in Saturday, followed by Rs 6.54 crores on Sunday.
Thappad held well on its first Monday to Rs 2.26 crores followed by a solid Rs 2.21 crore on Tuesday and Rs 2.01 crore on Wednesday. As per early estimates, it collected somewhere between Rs 1.80-1.90 crores, bringing the 7 days total to Rs 22.50-23 crore. Thappad is made on a budget of Rs 35 crore (Production cost is Rs 25 crore, Printing and Advertisement- Rs 10 crore) and has been released in 2000 screens across India.
