The biggest and the most expensive film of 2018 starring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan Thugs Of Hindostan is already hogging the limelight with its motion posters, logos and trailer announcement. We did some analysis and predicted that action-adventure should storm the box office with this amount on its first day.
Based on a 1893 novel “Confessions of a Thug” written by Philip Meadows Taylor in 1839 about the Thuggee cult in British India, Thugs Of Hindostan will be the first collaboration between the superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. The trailer of Thugs Of Hindostan will release on September 27 while the 2 motion posters have featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana have already been released and few more are on the pipeline which eventually will lead to the full fledged trailer.
Thugs Of Hindostan will be releasing on 7th November, 2018 during Diwali time. Generally speaking the pre-Diwali and even on the Diwali day, the collections are dull and only picks up during the later day. Since we have Aamir Khan who has a massive following, Thugs Of Hindostan might change the equation since it is releasing on day after the Diwali celebration on Wednesday and will have a 5 days extended weekend to cash on. As of now, it is Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju which holds the record for highest opening day collection with Rs 46.71 crores. Thugs Of Hindostan will challenge that figure and looking at the number of screen count to be more than 4500 across India, the action-adventure drama should open with Rs 55-60 crores. Thugs Of Hindostan will also become the highest opening day record holder for a Diwali release beating Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year which earned Rs 44.97 crores and Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo which collected Rs 40.35 crores.
Thugs Of Hindostan is being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who earlier made Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer Tashan and Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif starrer Dhoom 3.and also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
