What a week, eh? Phew. In any other timeline, we'd be shocked if the president of the world's only remaining superpower succumbed to a killer virus, then drove around waving at his Ultras like some mad dictator, then checked himself out of hospital while still contagious and waved to his Ultras, mask-free, from a balcony, like an even madder dictator. But in this timeline? The darkest timeline? Well, at least he didn't goad anyone into nuclear war on Twitter.
Still, it could all start to feel a bit...overwhelming? Unnerving? Soul-scorchingly petrifying? Let's just go with: all of the above. Which is why we all need a dose of Tom Holland, your friendly neighbourhood kindly man, to put everything in perspective, in a rosy hoodie that has, if nothing else, chilled us the hell out for a little bit.

While on-set somewhere rather more bucolic than rain- and windswept London, young Mr Holland posted a sunset selfie to Instagram in which appeared wearing a hoodie, on which is stitched a sentiment that sums up how we all feel about 2020: "Shit Happens".
Shit does happen! It has happened! It is, currently, happening endlessly and without abatement! Which could make you feel a bit down in the mouth. But don't be down the mouth!
Instead, be like Tom and cover that mouth with a mask, of course. And then turn your frown upside down, perhaps by suspending it from some kind of web you've magicked up from your wrists. Smile with your eyes. Smize because yes, everything's rubbish, but it will get better soon. Because it has to, because it can't get worse.
We're not saying that Tom Holland's pink hoodie (which is by French brand Sandro, by the way, and comes in a couple of other lovely colours, and is currently on sale, which should cheer you up even more) is a coded message to his American fans to go out and vote, specifically for the guy who isn't that orange lunatic in charge at the moment. But we're also not not saying that. As Tom Holland says: shit happens! So let's all get together and clear it up.
