Watch: Toyah Willcox and her husband give unique rendition of Enter Sandman
Toyah Willcox and her husband Robert Fripp delivered a unique rendition of Metallica's Enter Sandman in a recent lockdown performance.
In a video posted to their Sunday Lunch video series on Willcox's official YouTube channel, the pair covered the song with King Crimson guitarist Fripp playing along while Willcox handled the vocals.
Opting to take her performance up a notch, the 62-year-old singer belted out the tune while riding an exercise bike in their kitchen as her 74-year-old sat to play the guitar.
The video culminated with an amused Fripp wishing their watchers a happy New Year.
The couple have covered a number of artists on their YouTube shows, including Nirvana, The Sex Pistols and Guns N' Roses. They also answer questions from viewers in a separate Agony Aunts series on the channel.
The 80s star married the celebrated musician in 1986. Willcox said in a 2013 interview with The Guardian that she knew marrying Fripp "wasn't going to be easy".
She said: "I've always believed in marriage and I entered into mine knowing it wasn't going to be easy because of Robert's status and because a stream of ex-girlfriends who were trying to get him back.
"Ten years into the marriage, I was still dealing with his ex-girlfriends."
The pair don’t have children, with Willcox stating in the same interview: “I never had any maternal instinct and it always baffled me why I was expected to have children.”
