Two Premier League Giants Clash In A High Octane Fixture

Arsenal will be hosting Manchester United for the Premier League fixture on Saturday at 11 PM IST at the Emirates Stadium. The hosts have acquired the ninth position with 30 points in the Premier League standings while the visitors have occupied the second spot with 40 points.

Manchester United played 20 matches out of which they won 12 games, lost and drew four games each while Arsenal played 20 games, they won nine games, lost eight and drew thrice.

The visitors will be entering into this match after a shocking defeat against Sheffield United earlier this week. They will be aiming to make a comeback in the tournament after a surprising outcome against the bottom-most team of the points table. A victory tomorrow will put immense pressure on Manchester City to retain the top-most position in the Premier League standings.

Arsenal beat Manchester United in the reverse fixture earlier this season and will be entering into this fixture with a belief that they can beat them again. The upcoming weekend features two Premier League giants to the clash which will be an interesting match to witness.

Considering the previous five fixtures between the two teams, Arsenal clearly has the upper hand as they are undefeated in Premier League against Manchester United since 2018. The Gunners came out victorious thrice in the previous five matches they played against each other while two games were ended in a draw. Arsenal beat Manchester United earlier this season at Old Trafford by a margin of 1-0.

Arsenal could be playing without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Saturday. Dani Ceballos’ return from the injury will be a positive sign for the Gunners. Pablo Mari continues to remain a long-term absentee. The home team will be concerned about Kieran Tierney’s fitness after the player missed the last two fixtures due to a calf issue.

Manchester United will be moving ahead into the upcoming game with the return of Eric Bailly who missed Wednesday’s game due to a slight knock. The visitors will be examing Victor Lindelof who was rested in the previous game due to a back issue.
