After a big Diwali week, Sunny Singh starrer Ujda Chaman was the only solo release this week.
Directed by Abhisehk Pathak, Ujda Chaman is based on a pre-maturing baldness of a mid-30’s common man who is in search of a beautiful wife for which the trailer had garnered good views as the makers revealed each chapter subsequently. Sunny Singh had impressed the audience in films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety but still has to establish himself as a lead actor who can carry the film on his shoulder.
Ujda Chaman has received negative reviews till now from the critics and we have to wait if the audience would be interested in the bald comedy drama. As per early reports, Ujda Chaman opened to just 5-10% occupancy in the morning shows across India from 1000 screens.
The previous Diwali releases – Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China has picked up post festival celebration. Also, there is a big Hollywood release in form of Terminator Dark Fate which in multiple languages which might hurt the collections of Ujda Chaman. As per our analysis, Ujda Chaman should open somewhere between Rs 2-3 crore and if the word of mouth reviews will be good, it might turn out to be a surprise at the box office.
