An "intoxicated" woman who called an airport worker a "rapist" and suggested she had a gun, later appeared to be arrested.

“Get me out of here,” she screamed at the gate attendant at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, before storming off.

She went on to call him a “rapist” and said she had a gun.

She said: “Who does that to a woman like me? Get me out of here. I have a f***ing gun on me because I’m homeless.”

The incident was filmed by Dre London, who uploaded the footage it to his Instagram account.

Alongside the film, he said he thought she was one of many passengers whose flight from the Florida airport was delayed for 10 hours because of a computer failure.

“They said we would send another plane from New York but this took many hours," he said. "While in Fort Lauderdale airport everyone remained calm apart from this woman who went crazy on JetBlue staff, called him a rapist and said she had a gun on me.”

After, the woman finished screaming, with passengers looking on, she picked up her bag and stormed off.

A representative from the airline told The Independent that the woman in the video was denied boarding because she was “intoxicated” and “became disruptive.”

They added that the crewmembers had "requested assistance from local law enforcement", as a result of her behaviour.

In a second video uploaded by Mr London, the woman is seen on the ground with her hands restrained by law enforcement officers.

It is unclear whether she was charged with a crime, but The Independent has contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for comment.
