'Queen', 'Haider' scoop big awards at 62nd National Film Awards

Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Queen' and Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Haider' were the stars of the 62nd National Film Awards as the former grabbed two awards for Best Actress and Best Hindi Film, whereas, the latter scooped five awards in different categories. Tamil film actor Vijay took home the Best Actor Award for his portrayal of a transgender in the film 'Nan Avanalla Avalu' after beating the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Mammooty and Amir Khan. 'Haider' took home the awards for Best Dialogues, Best Male Playback Singer, Best Costume Designer, Best Music Direction and Best Choreography. 'Mary Kom' directed by Omung Kumar nabbed the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
