The Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer WAR did very well on the second Friday inspite of the big release – The Sky Is Pink, at the box office.
The much awaited WAR, continued its journey at the box office without any disruptions on the second Friday. The record-breaking film which collected a massive Rs 53.35 crore and beating the opening day collections of the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif starrer Thugs Of Hindostan (Rs 52.25 crore (all version)). WAR kept the momentum strong and performed superbly in its 9 days extended week, minting a staggering Rs 238.35 crore beating Bharat (Rs 180 crore), Kabir Singh (Rs 134.42 crore), Mission Mangal (Rs 128.16 crore) and Saaho (Rs 116.03 crore).
As per early estimates, WAR, starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, collected somewhere between Rs 6-7 crore on second Friday, bringing the 10 days total to Rs 244-245 crore in all versions. WAR is now the 3rd highest grossing film of 2019 and should be beating URI-The Surgical Strike (Rs 245.36 crore)(awaiting the final figures)
The budget of WAR is Rs 200 Crore (Production Cost: 180 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 20 Crore). The action film is directed by Siddarth Anand and is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
