Semenya was set to defend her 800m title won in London in 2017, but the latest ruling by the Swiss Federal Supreme Court means she won’t be be able to. The South-African later tweeted, “Determined spirit is unstoppable.”

To Cricket now and the T20 Blast. Kent’s clash with Surrey was heavily affected by rain last night, but that didn’t stop Mohammad Nabi smashing 43 off just 12 balls to give Kent to victory at The Oval.

In a match reduced to seven overs, Surrey posted 54-4, but that target was reached in just 15 minutes as Nabi smashed two fours and fives sixes.
