Werder Bremen To Lock Horns With Schalke For Bundesliga

Werder Bremen will be hosting Schalke for the Bundesliga fixture on Saturday at the Weserstadion at 8:00 PM IST. The hosts have acquired the 18th spot with seven points while the visitors have occupied the 13th spot with 21 points.

Werder Bremen played 18 matches out of which they won five games, lost seven and drew six matches. On the other hand, Schalke also had 18 games, they were victorious on one occasion, lost 13 games and drew four matches.

The home team clinched a comprehensive victory in their previous game against Hertha Berlin with a scoreline of 4-1.

Schalke has been at the bottom of the points table and will be aiming to win their upcoming game while looking for some positives in the tournament.

Florian Kohfeldt revealed that Omer Toprak and Davie Selke could be playing on Saturday. Christian Gross and Ludwig Augustinsson’s inclusion is doubtful.

Klass-Jan Huntelaar might have to wait for his full debut as he is still not fit yet. Steven Skrzybski, Goncalo Paciencia and Frederik Ronnow are expected to be sidelined once again.
